Altos de Losada wine is a red wine with D.O. Bierzo made by the winery Losada Vinos de Finca, which is characteristic for its non-interventionist elaboration. The winery is located in Cascabelos (León). The wine is only made with Mencia, which is an original variety from northwestern Spain. The grape of which it is made comes from 21 smallholdings of old vineyard, which are planted on clay-soil slopes that bring elegance and fragrance to this final product.

Losada Vinos de Finca cellar gives D.O. Bierzo to their wines. A young winery specialised in producing young and long aging wines, with vineyards that are older than 75 years. Altos de Losada wine is an elegant wine which is 100% elaborated with Mencia (French grape variety). Altos de Losada wine is more powerful, round and with personality, getting it to exploit the fruit unlike others, this is achieved due to the type of soil, which in this case is slate. The Mencia grape is only found in Bierzo and in the Galician area, it is a native wine. Vino Losada ages in French oak barrels for 15 months. This variety offers great intensity and aromas of red and black fruits, with floral and spicy notes. Its entry into the mouth is intense and powerful, leaving a tasty and enveloping step, with a long and persistent finish.
