Wine Dalmau Reserva:
- Wine Tasting Notes:
Colour: Pretty picota cherry colour, high robe, clean and bright. A fine and elegant tear.
Nose: A high intensity, expressive and aromatic nose. An almost perfect balance between the ripe red and brilliant fruity notes, and the aromas brought by its passage through barrels: elegant toasted nuances, fine spices and light animal touches.
Taste: Warm on the palate. Intense and deep, with a large personality. A perfect blend of ripe fruits balanced with woods. It has fine, well-structured velvety tannins, soft bitterness, and good acidity. Long, persistent and pleasant finish.
- Review:
Dalmau Reserva is a Rioja wine produced by Bodegas Marqués de Murrieta from their vineyards of 300 hectares in the estate Finca Ygay, situated at 400 metres altitude. This red wine is a blend of Tempranillo, Cabernet Sauvignon and Graciano grape varieties. The harvest is manual. After destemming, the grape must ferments at a controlled temperature. One part of the wine, the Tempranillo, stays in stainless steel deposits and the other part, the Graciano and the Cabernet Sauvignon, stays in wooden vats for 11 days. The wine is then aged for 20 months in new French oak barrels.
