Finca Terrerazo is a varietal wine made of Bobal grapes from low-yield vines around 40-65 years old grown under an organic farming, produced by Mustiguillo, the first winery from Valencia which obtained, in 2010, the certification of Vino de Pago, D.O.P. El Terrerazo, thanks to the singularity of their wines.

Wine Finca Terrerazo:
- Wine Tasting Notes:
Colour: Intense and bright cherry red colour.
Nose: A clean and medium-high intensity nose which has aromas from its ageing, 18 months in French oak barrels. As it opens, it shows ripe black fruit, crunchy, smooth, embraced by mineral and spiced notes, aromatic herbs and roasted sweet hints.
Taste: It has an elegant, warm and sweet attack, a silky, glyceride mid-palate with a lot of volume. Ripe and persistent tannins and a magisterial acidity, very well structured. It leaves mineral and fruity sensations in the mid-palate which ends with a long and very pleasant finish. A non-stop sensation.
- Review:
A fine wine and a special one too, 100% Bobal. Intensity, density, maturity, warmth, freshness and finesse are the first and foremost features outlining the profile of this quality wine. Its colour in the glass is absolutely lovely, a vivacious shade of dark Picota cherry with thick tears slowing making their way downwards. On the nose, lactic notes bestow the sensation of creaminess, whilst the fragrance of aromatic plants, plus balsamic and menthol notes enhance its freshness and confirm its complexity. It is a rounded wine, which continually offers more and more with time in the glass, a complete wine.
Bodega Mustiguillo, headed up by Toni Sarrión, demonstrates with this wine that Bobal too can be used to produce good and great wines. They prove it with Finca Terrerazo and, in case anyone should have any doubts, with their Quincha Corral, which is outside the reach of most, not only due to its price but also because of the scant number of bottles available for sale. The rusticity with which we usually associate this indigenous variety of the Utiel region (Valencia) is converted here into elegance: ripe black fruit (blackberries), woodland aromas (heather, thyme), balsamic, mineral and smoky notes (incense, tobacco).
Finca Terrerazo is also smooth and creamy on the palate, fresh and pleasant, with mineral touches, mature and fruit-driven. Its velvety texture is lusciously rich in the mouth and its powerfulness comes over elegantly. Most definitely the wine to choose should you need to convince someone of the Bobal's potential, a fine wine which will indeed be thoroughly enjoyed.
