El Molar is a red wine from Jumilla prepared by the Finca Casa Castillo winery. It is a varietal Grenache. The grapes used for this wine are collected from fields located in trellises on the upland slopes of the Sierra del Molar. The climate is continental and Mediterranean and the vineyards, which grow on calcareous soils, were planted in 2005.

Alcoholic fermentation, which is carried out for two weeks at temperature of 30 degrees, is performed in open vats under the ground before maceration takes place without the skins. The subsequent malolactic fermentation takes place in foudres in contact with the lees. The wine is aged for 12 months. The typical dryness of Jumilla, located in Murcia, with low temperatures, means that there are low levels of production yet with a high concentration.
