Colour: Cherry colour with a ruby rim. Very clean and bright. Fine, quick-falling tears show on the glass.
Nose: Medium-intensity and direct. Aromas of fresh red fruit accompanied by subtle spices on a nice toasted background.
Taste: Good attack, tasty and silky on the palate. Good concentration of fruit with strong vanilla notes. Enjoyable and smooth tannins. Good structure. Good finish with moderate persistence. Nice toasted notes felt at retro-olfaction.

This wine is a Tinta del País single-varietal (100%). After the harvest, which is very selective and carried out by hand, Protos Roble briefly ages for 6 months in American oak barrels and then finishes refining in the bottle for 6 months before going on sale. This brief ageing in wood gives the wine a lively and very enjoyable character.
