Tasting Notes

Colour: Intense bright cherry color.

Bouquet: Well-balanced between fruit and wood, in which dairy and vanilla are merged with ripe fruit, black fruit and forest tones. Outstanding notes of leather and licorice with French oak aromas.

Palate: It is soft, but balanced (the nasal sensations are repeated) and you can also notice fine tannins that extend its life, long and very elegant aftertaste.

Vineyard (Spanish): Pago de los Capellanes, located in Pedrosa de Duero. Vineyards located at 800 meters above sea level. Chalky clay soil. Weather conditions are extreme, with very hot summers and very cold winters. Yield: 5,000 kg per ha.

Wine Making (Spanish): Once in the winery, the alcoholic fermentation (30 days) takes place with daily pumpings. The malolactic is performed without any bacteria and controlled at 20 ° for 22 days controlling the levels of malic and lactic acid. Aging for 12 months in new and used (never older than three years old) French oak barrels.
