Wine Borsao Berola:

  • Wine Tasting Notes:

Colour: Pretty and intense dark picota cherry colour with violet reflections. Clean and bright. Medium-high robe. Elegant, dark tears stain the glass.

Nose: Intense, complex, concentrated and well defined nose. Ripe red and black fruits, alcoholic at times, mix with with pleasant toasted touches at first. Once oxygenated, these aromas mix with intense smoky, roasted notes of coffee, liquorice and cocoa. Nice mineral nuances in the background with intense balsamic notes.

Taste: After a broad and pleasant attack, this wine is tasty, warming and dense, with a velvety texture and a high concentration of fruit. The tannins are smooth and ripe and there is an excellent acidity giving the wine a great freshness, very well balanced. Long and very persistent finish with intense fruity aromas. A very tasty red wine. Enjoy!

  • Review:

Berola is a great red wine made from local Grenache grapes from Campo de Borja, rounded off with a small percentage of Syrah which complements the wine and provides a great silkiness and complexity.

The vines are planted in vineyards at 700 m altitude, the Grenache vines aged between 25 and 60 years old and 10 year old Syrah vines. The grapes ferment separately in stainless steel tanks. The wine is then aged for 14 months in French and American oak barrels.

It is recommended decanting this wine an hour before drinking.

Development and Aging

The winemaking Winery Borsao begins in the vineyard itself with an adequate harvest calendar based on the optimum ripeness of the different varieties.

Five hundred thousand BTUs are responsible for controlling the fermentation temperature of our musts so that during the process not the characteristics of the grape origin is lost.

Strict and rigorous controls during maceration of the must transform these fine wines.

The crianza and reserva wines are formed in the 1200 Bordeaux barrels of American and French oak. Next, these wines mature with their stay in the bottle for 16 months in the case of breeding or twenty months for the reservation.
