Wine Flor de Vetus:
- Wine Tasting Notes:
Colour: Dark cherry red colour with violet tones. Clean and bright, abundant load of glycerine, slightly coloured.
Nose: Medium-high nose in which the fruit stands out. Red fruit, redcurrant and blackberries give way to balsamic, spiced and lactic notes. Soft toasted nuances in the background.
Taste: In the mouth, it is a very powerful wine, with a mid-palate marked by a great load of fruit with a quite high alcoholic content. Great acidity and high tannic sensation. Medium-bodied red wine which is very nice and sweet. Long finish with a correct persistence.

Flor de Vetus, from the D.O. Toro, is a varietal red wine made of Tinta de Toro grapes by the winery Bodegas Vetus, owned by the Artevino group, which also owns the wineries Bodegas Orben, Villacreces and Izadi. Flor de Vetus is produced from low-yield vines grown at 700m above sea level, on unconsolidated chalky soils, with thick and tight grained sandstone. After the manual grape harvest with double selection, the wine is fermented in trunk-conical deposits and aged for 9 months in French oak barrels.
