Tasting note:
Complete and balanced with notes of caramel, vanilla, and wood. Slightly fruity aroma. Consistent flavor from bottle to bottle.
The color, body, and characteristic flavor of Jack Daniel's are due to a meticulous process that makes it unique. The whisky is made with groundwater drawn from a cave in Tennessee. Additionally, the whisky undergoes a process called "charcoal mellowing", where it is filtered through sugar maple charcoal, distinguishing it as Tennessee whisky rather than bourbon, despite its smoothness and high alcohol content. Finally, the whisky is aged in handcrafted white oak barrels that are charred on the inside to melt the sugars from the wood and give Jack Daniel's its amber color and flavor.
